  Recently, the world's first double-deck cable-suspension cooperative system bridge designed by China Railway Bridge Institute under China Railway and constructed by China Railway Bridge Bureau was completed, marking the completion of the first main cable strand of G3 Tongling Yangtze River Railway Bridge, marking the bridge's official entry into the construction phase of main cable erection。G3 Tongling Yangtze River Railway Bridge is located in the suburbs of Tongling City, Anhui province, with a total length of 11.88 kilometers, in accordance with the "four-line railway + six-lane highway" standard construction, with "highway, intercity railway, freight railway" three river crossing functions, both cable-stayed bridge and suspension bridge advantages。

  The bridge is equipped with two main cables, both ends of which are anchored in the south and north respectively, connecting the south span, north span and main span of the bridge into one。Each main cable in the middle span is composed of 169 cable strands, the diameter of the main cable is 879 mm;Each main cable consists of 179 cable strands, the main cable diameter of 905 mm。A single strand is 1805 in length from 127 strands.7 meters, diameter 5.4 mm galvanized aluminum alloy high strength steel wire with a standard strength of 2000 mpa。The two high-strength steel wires connected end to end are about 80,000 kilometers long and can circle the earth about 2 times;Total weight approx. 1.440,000 tons, equivalent to the weight of about 285 high-speed rail cars。
